More Than a Trainer

Your partner in building strength, confidence, and resilience.

Hi, I’m Brad Kong

My journey into personal training didn’t begin in a gym — it began in the service industry, working long hours on my feet, often exhausted and carrying stress in my body. I understand firsthand what it feels like to be drained by your career, yet still want to feel strong, confident, and capable.

Today, as a certified strength and conditioning coach, I specialize in helping high-performing professionals reclaim control over their health. My focus isn’t on trends or quick fixes, but on building a foundation of movement and strength that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

From Service Industry to Movement Specialist

For over three years working behind busy bars here in Austin, I've had a front row seat to a quiet struggle. I serve some of the city's most successful people (lawyers, tech professionals, entrepreneurs) who are absolutely crushing it in their careers. But I also see the physical toll it takes: the stiff movements after long days at the desk, the winces when they get up from their barstool, the way they rub their necks and shoulders without even thinking about it.

They're winning at work, but their bodies are paying the price.

What made this even more personal was experiencing it myself. After years in the service industry, I knew firsthand what chronic back and knee discomfort felt like. I understood the frustration of wanting to stay active and healthy while managing the physical demands of relentless schedules.

My bartending stats: Poured 50,000+ drinks, lifted 2M+ lbs of kegs. My first strength program.

The Pivot to Solution

Seeing this pattern night after night, in others and in myself, sparked something deeper than just professional interest. I've been passionate about sports and fitness my entire life (played soccer through high school and college) but this was different. This was about using that knowledge to solve a real problem for real people.

That's what led me to dive deep into the science of human movement and dysfunction. I wasn't just interested in helping people get "fit." I wanted to understand how the body adapts to stress and how we can work with those adaptations to build people back stronger and more resilient.

Over time, I began to see a bigger picture: fitness is not about punishing the body or chasing the latest trend—it’s about restoring function, rebuilding confidence, and unlocking energy that translates into every area of life. Watching high-performing professionals struggle with pain, fatigue, and immobility made me realize that the real goal isn’t just a better physique—it’s reclaiming the ability to live fully, without being limited by your body.

The Mission Today

My mission is focused and clear: I help Austin professionals build strength and resilience in bodies that have been pushed to their limits by high stakes roles. I use my corrective exercise background to address movement restrictions and imbalances, then we build functional strength on top of that foundation.

What my clients achieve:

• Eliminate daily desk pain and stiffness

• Renew energy levels for peak performance

• Build confidence to summit Enchanted Rock or command the boardroom

My role is to be your guide. We start by understanding your body's unique story and respecting where you are now, then we build a sustainable path to where you want to be. Whether your goal is to eliminate the daily aches of desk work or to reclaim the feeling of being strong and confident, we will build that future together.

Life in Austin

When I'm not training clients or designing programs (and yes, I'm still slinging drinks part time while building this business), you can usually find me on the pickleball courts, hiking around town, or taking a dip at Barton Springs. I moved here for the lifestyle this city offers, and I believe in practicing what I preach—staying active and enjoying everything Austin has to offer.
